I touched Heaven today.
The blades whirled above
Holding us up
Like excited children
To see the magic of creation.
It was a glorious day.
The sun smiled
And the breeze held tomorrow’s rain
At the far horizon.
The wide blue arms of the sky
Reached around and embraced
Mountains and sea,
With the city nestled in between.
Buffetted by the breeze,
Our pilot kept a steady course
As we travelled over carpeted mountains,
Emerald washed beaches
And buildings
Clustered like mushrooms.
What a joy and what a treat
To hitch a ride on a dragonfly
And see our world
Through an
Angel’s eye.
