They sat hand in hand.
The moon in her full, golden glory,
Bent down to kiss the sea;
Before slipping into her dark depths
And lighting the twinkling stars.
The stars still twinkled in his eyes
When he looked at her and winked.
Her eyes misted with so many years
Of beautiful memories.
She saw him
Young, tanned and toned;
The boy she fell in love with.
The midnight blue, velvet sky
Twinkled in the still, warm night air.
They agreed it was a perfect night
For a celebration.
Their celebration.
Arm in arm
They went back inside.
Happy Anniversary, he said.
Happy Anniversary.
